The SVSAE scheme offers scholarship support for pursuing higher studies in any subject/course at a top-ranked institution/university.
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme 2024 is an initiative of the Government of Rajasthan, for students planning to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research programs abroad. Formerly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence, this scheme aims to provide scholarships to residents of Rajasthan pursuing higher studies in any subject/course at a top-ranked university/institution.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be a citizen of India and a domiciled resident in the State of Rajasthan.
The age of the applicant must be less than 35 years of age as on 1st July of every academic year.
Interested students must be enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD or postdoctoral degree programmes. They must have received an admission letter/confirmation letter/offer letter from any of the universities or institutions listed in the latest QS Global Rankings or ranked within the top 1-50 institutions by NIRF.
The annual family income must be less than ₹8,00,000 (*E1 Category), between ₹8,00,000 and ₹25,00,000 (E2 Category) and more than ₹25,00,000 (E3 Category).
Benefits
The financial assistance for the selected candidates will be provided as follows:

- Offer letter from the relevant foreign university
- Domicile certificate (shortened “Bonafide/domicile certificate”)
- Gross family income certificate (authenticated by an executive magistrate and witnessed by two gazetted officers)
- Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for the financial year 2023-24 (applicable for applications submitted in the financial year 2024-25)
- Affidavit for not filing ITR (in the provided format)
- Marksheet/certificate of the last passed examination
- Self-declaration for scholarships/financial aid received from other sources (if applicable).
