SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2024: The SSP 2024 Scholarship Portal is managed by the Government of Karnataka, is designed to facilitate the application and disbursement of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships to Karnataka domicile students facing financial constraints. This portal encompasses scholarships from seven government departments, including the Social Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department, and Department of Minority Welfare.

SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2024 is awarded by Karnataka government for those students who are belongs to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories to get scholarship benefits for further post-secondary education. There are 7 departments of the Government of Karnataka that offer scholarships to the students from different sections of the society. Some of the departments include Social Welfare Department, Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board Scheme, Tribal Welfare Department, and more.

Eligibility Criteria for SSP Post Matric Scholarship

Social Welfare Department

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • Must belong from SC/ST/OBC category
  • Family’s annual income must be less than INR 2,50,000.
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Benefits: Complete fee reimbursement for hostel (both private and government)

Department of Technical Education

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • Must belong from SC/ST/OBC category
  • Family’s annual income must be between than 2.5 lakhs and 10 lakhs
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Benefits: Complete fee reimbursement

Tribal Welfare Department

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • Must belong from SC/ST/OBC category
  • Family’s annual income must be INR 2,50,000 or less
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Benefits: Complete fee reimbursement for both government and private colleges

Department of Minority Welfare

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • Must belong from SC/ST/OBC category
  • Annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 2,00,000
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Benefits: Complete reimbursement of hostel fees (both private and government)

Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • Annual family income should be less than or equal to INR 10,00,000
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Benefits: Complete reimbursement of fess provided

Department of Backward Class Welfare

  • For students belonging from category 1, the annual family income less or equal to INR 2,50,000
  • For students belonging from 2A, 3A, 3B and OBC categories, the annual family income should be less or equal to INR 1,00,000
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

Department of Disability Welfare

  • Must be a resident of Karnataka
  • No income restriction for Brahmin, SC, ST, BCM or general category
  • Must have scored at least 50% in the last examination

SSP Post Matric scholarship 2024 Application Process

The first step of the application process is create an account on the portal of SSP Post scholarship i.e. official website. After creating an account, follow the step by step process below to complete the the online application form.

Visit the official website http://ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in to register yourself and create an account.

Provide the information regarding to your AADHAR card and your contact number.

You will have to verify your identification with the OTP you receive on your mobile number.

Create an account filling all the basic details.

After the registration process, you will need to login to the SSP portal and apply for the scholarship in the following steps:

Using the user ID and password, login to the website .

You can then have access to the “Student Account” page.

On this page, you will need to upload the documents (the documents mentioned under “how to apply for the scholarship?”).

You must enter all the accurate information and read the details carefully after which you “save and proceed”.

Verify the details and click on “submit”.
